Design Direction
Sitting at the intersection of IBM Product, Brands, and Clients are the IBM Studios - a series of IBM design, marketing, and research offices where IBM and world class design agencies come together to create products and brand experiences.
It was my job to design concepts for the entire platform for the new umbrella group using a freshly minted visual system. I opted for bold, clean, minimal color schemes, focusing on type, iconography, and social content to create an authentic brand experience that helped move IBM into a more contemporary space online.
Media designed for the new group included a blog, socially seeded multimedia displays for office interiors, a mobile application and intranet, and a series of infographics explaining the overlap and attributes of the groups that make up the new IBM Studios.
